Family Session Giveaway | Family Portrait Photographer

If you have been following our work over the past few years, you know that we have been not only photographing weddings and family portraits, but also maternity, babies and high school seniors.  This summer was so busy with weddings and setting up our new nursery that we didn’t have hardly any openings for portrait sessions. Our new baby is due January 8th, so with editing wedding photos and getting ready for the new little one, we have had very little time to put the word out about all of the fun photography plans we have for the coming year.  One of these  plans is to actively promote the family portrait side of our business.  To spread the word, we are giving away a session.

There is a small catch though…..there always is right?
Entering is super easy. Simply tell us, in the comment section below, a story about a favorite family photo of you or your parents, as well as where it is being displayed, or share an emotional memory about one of your favorite family pictures.  If neither of those options conjures up a story for you, tell us when the last time you had family photos taken.  The recipient of the session giveaway will be chosen on August 23rd (the day we have our sonogram and find out if we’re having Isabella Rene or Christian Reese)!  Please be sure to comment right away, and also to share this giveaway with a friend who might want to be a part of it.  For everyone who comments and is not chosen as the winner, we are offering $50 off your family session fee or collection, as long as it is booked for 2013 (this may not be combined with another special offer).

To find out who the winner is (and to read all the beautiful comments left as entries), be sure to check back on Monday, August 26th.  You can also like our Facebook page ( to see more of what we are up to!

If you are interested in booking a fall family session before our calendar fills up, contact us here.  Remember, the deadline for entering the giveaway is Friday, August 23rd at midnight.  Leave a comment below about family photos from your past, and make us laugh or cry.  We can’t wait to hear your story!

I only have one picture of my family growing up. It was taken when I was 11. We never got another one before my mom unexpectedly passed a few years later. I hardly have any photos of my mom because she was always the one behind the camera. She had just so happened to take a picture at school two weeks before she died for the yearbook.
We have no pictures of my family, and have never taken the 15 month old for professional pictures. I would hate for something to happen and my two girls have nothing to look back and remember me by. It breaks my heart that I only have two pictures of their Grandma that they will never get to meet.

Hard to pic a favorite of pics but probably when my mom, Mammaw (RIP) and I took my girls to Galveston and have pics of the girls playing in the ocean and one of all of us on the couch at the condo we stayed in. Youngest was maybe two and already posing for pictures. If that isn’t good enough I am a single mom of three girls. The last time we had family pictures was Christmas season when youngest was almost 2, she is 5 now. Other two are 14 & 6.

Olivia | CHHS Senior Photography

We absolutely love the energy and enthusiasm that comes with high school seniors.  Olivia is no exception, she’s into all sorts of things she loves sushi, likes to run, heavily into music, she plays the flute, piano and guitar and is a drum major at CHHS.  She has these gorgeous blue eyes with beautiful yellow flecks around her iris that tell a story, a story of adventure, inspiration and youth.  We spent the day shooting, we started out in the studio and then headed out to the country for some fun!

Check out the video below and some of our favorites from the shoot, there are a ton of them!

Brooke | Child Portrait Photographer

You make recognize the Blair family, we’ve been photographing this family for several years now but we’ve not had a chance to meet Miss Brooke yet since they moved South.  However during a recent visit home we finally got a chance to get together and photograph her and the family.  She’s just as sweet as her momma!  I loved getting to see the family again and can’t wait till the next time, till later, enjoy some of our favorites below.
